Announcing the Return of the North East Regional Invitational High School Rodeo!!
 In 2006 and 2007, the Ontario High School Rodeo Association produced and hosted the “North East Regional Invitational High School Rodeo” or NERR, in London, Ontario, Canada. Well received and well attended, contestants from Ontario, New York, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia competed for points, saddles, titles, scholarship dollars and much more.
The OHSRA is excited to announce the re-incarnation of this illustrious event. The 2011 NERR will be Friday, April 1st, 2011 through Sunday, April 3rd, 2011 at the Regional Equine & Agricultural Centre of Huron Inc. (REACH Huron), Clinton, Ontario, Canada.

Did you know? All new first year Senior Ontario High School Rodeo Association Members are entitled to a free Ontario Rodeo Association membership. Simply provide your OHSRA/NHSRA number on the ORA form, and it will be processed.

The 2010 Ontario High School Rodeo Association Finals concluded this past weekend, and we congratulate all of the Finals Champions, Year-end Champions, special Scholarship recipients and all of the National Qualifiers!
Thank you to the many sponsors and volunteers that made this year's season a great success. We look forward to seeing everyone at our first 2010/2011 season event in Erin June 5th.

Entry forms are available for the Cutting at Minshall's Farm being held on Sunday, September 27th. The deadline for entries is the same as for the Hillsburgh Rodeo being held on Saturday, September 26th which is Monday, September 21st.

2009/2010 Membership Application forms are now available online. Please carefully review and complete the required forms prior to the first event. Please rembember when you show up at your first rodeo you will need the following things:
National Membership Form
Ontario Membership Form - Notorized
Minor Release Form - Notorized
Please be sure your forms are filled out correctly with parents signature(s), etc. otherwise you will not be allowed to rodeo. Please call Jennet VanWesterop at 519-349-2359 if you have any questions.
Also, the first six rodeos are booked for the 2009/2010 Rodeo Season! Click here to view all scheduled events and to access the entry forms. The first two rodeos are in Norwich on Sunday, August 30th. Entries will be due Monday, August 24th.
Update on Wrangler Division Barrel & Polebending Champion
Due to a miscalculation in year end points, our 2008/2009 Wrangler Polebending and Barrel Racing Year end Champion is Megan Ebert of Youngstown New York. It was a close race with just a few point separating the winner from the reserve thanks to some great riding by our Junior Girls. We want to apologize to Megan, Dana and Paige for this error and the association will present Meagan with her trophy buckles at our first rodeo of the 2009/2010 season. CONGRATULATIONS MEGAN! |
